Nolanville: Local attorney makes history as first black female judge

NOLANVILLE, Texas (KWTX) A Central Texas attorney has made history in the city of Nolanville.

Todd, who grew up in the military, is also veteran. She’s also a military spouse and mom.“I hope to make my community proud,” Ebony Todd said.

After a swearing-in ceremony last month, she’s also part of history: Nolanville’s first African-American female municipal court judge.

With her son on her side, Todd says it was not only a moment for her but for others.

“I can’t help but think how impactful that moment is for other mothers, wives that feel like they don’t have the time or energy or ability to carry out duties on top of motherhood,” she said.
